Objective criticism

This is a good and healthy return from Volker Schlondorf to his roots, specially after the failed "Palmetto"...this is a compromised vision on the existence of both Germanies on their latest times...

I liked the way it was shot and the performances of every actor in this movie. But the thing I liked the most if the objective spirit of it, and the way the film makes a critic on both sides, on both lifestyles and on german society in general. As a mexican, believe me, we have so few in common with Germans that is almost as seeing an alienating experience. I've been in Germany and felt completely different, I have some germans friends but we know how apart our view on things are, and this film manages, even with it's local vision and subject, to transmit most of the feelings we are supposed to get. This is not a great movie, but it's a very good one.
